James Arthur Melley, 80, of Martin County, passed away on July 16, 2022 in Stuart, Florida.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jim had been a resident of Palm City, Florida for 30 years, coming from Setauket, NY.

Prior to retiring, he was a proud member of The New York City Transit Police Department. Jim also served honorably in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his daughters, Kim Mendelsohn, Linda Broderick, and Candi Melley, his daughter-in-law Jodi Melley, his son's-in-law Rob Mendelsohn, and Trevor Tonkovich, Also left behind are Jim's six grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Jordan, Jacob, Cody, and Sawyer.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife Carol and his son Jim Jr.
