It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the sudden and unexpected death of James Henry Pendergast III (Jim), age 68, of Savannah, Georgia, on December 22, 2025. He died in a car accident while enroute to visit his mother to be with her on her birthday and to celebrate Christmas.

Jim is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Pendergast, of Palm City, Florida; son, James Henry Pendergast IV (Jimmy); daughter, Reagan Lily Pendergast; stepdaughter, Serena Biggs; stepson, Jesse Biggs; their mother Sharon Pendergast (all of Savanah, Georgia); many cousins and friends.

Jim was born in Midland, Michigan and then lived in many places (Germany, Switzerland, Hong Kong) when his late father, James Henry Pendergast II worked for and was transferred abroad with the Dow Chemical Company.

Jim was a graduate of Marquette University and spent time after graduation in finance.

Jim was a guy filled with a little bit of mischief here and there, loved skiing, boating, was once a good tennis player (although he'd never admit that), a great dog dad. He had a pretty good sense of humor, was almost always smiling. Jim was a dedicated son, a caring father, a fun-loving cousin, a faithful friend. He was someone you could count on no matter the distance or the time apart. Jim's passing is an immeasurable loss, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and all who knew him.
