James Calvin Shultzaberger, 91, of Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015, after a brief illness.
He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, October 16, 1923, a son of James Chester Shultzaberger and Dorothy (Young) Shultzaberger.
He served with the United States Marines in the South Pacific during World War II.
After the war, he worked as a Civil Engineer for the Pennsylvania Electric Company.
In 1984, he moved to Jupiter, Florida from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, then moving to Hobe Sound in 2000.
Jim enjoyed history, genealogy, was an avid reader and enjoyed taking walks.
Survivors include his beloved wife of forty-eight years, Jane Bell Shultzaberger, of Hobe Sound; one brother, Donald Shultzaberger, of Ohio; four daughters, Sharon Wozniak, of California, Janie Schaffner, of New York, Diane Vellner, of Pennsylvania, and Lauren Schettino, also of Pennsylvania; one son, James Todd Shultzaberger, of Jupiter, Florida; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A Service to Celebrate His Life will be held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Stuart, 1500 Kanner Highway, Stuart, Florida, 34994, where he was a member.
In lieu of flowers, Contributions as a Memorial may be made to the church.
