James M. Skerry, 66, of Saint Lucie West, Florida, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home.
Born in Malden, Massachusetts, he had been a resident of the Cascades for two and a half years, coming from his birthplace.
Prior to his retirement , Jim was an elementary school teacher, teaching at the Linden School in Malden his entire teaching career of thirty-five years.
He was a parishioner of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Saint Lucie West, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13042 of the Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Dianne M. Skerry; two daughters, Karen M. Craig, and her husband, David, of Durham, Connecticut, and Kathleen A. Skerry, of Los Angeles, California; his mother, Dorothy C. Skerry, of Malden; two brothers, John J. Skerry, of Malden, and Dennis P. Skerry, of Woburn, Massachusetts; two granddaughters, Emma, and Lila; and his mother-in-law, Marie Pare', of Saint Lucie West.
He was preceded in death by his father, John James Skerry.
Services and Interment will take place in May in Malden.
