James T. Ziegler passed away on April 27, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Ziegler; daughters Cynthia Ziegler Kahn and Rene Ziegler Thomann; his grandchildren, Mia Kahn, Corey Thomann; his siblings, Carolyn "Tootie" Ziegler and nephew, Barry Ziegler Jr.  He was predeceased by siblings, Liz Ziegler and Barry Ziegler.

James served 33 years in the U.S. Navy and Army.  He was a member of the American Legion.  He retired from the food production industry.  He loved fishing and the Keys, riding his bike, playing bocce with his friends and going on cruises with his wife and friends.  He was always the jokester and was always there to help his friends and family.

There will be a ceremony with Military Honors at 9:30 am on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.  Following the ceremony there will a Celebration of Life Luncheon at 11:00 am at Two Georges, 4290 SE Salerno Road, Port Salerno, .  The theme of the celebration is "Blue Hawaii", so wear a blue Hawaiian style shirt (Guy Harvey, Tommy Bahama, etc.)

In Lieu of flowers, we would like donations, in his name, be made to the Wounded Warriors (woundedwarriorsproject.org or Tunnel 2 Towers (tunnel2towers.org.)
