Janet M Janssen, 80, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, peacefully passed away on February 17, 2022 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House In Fort Pierce, Florida.

She was born to Harry and Marjorie Stewart on September 16, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She married the boy next door, Joseph Janssen in 1966, and moved to Colwyn, Pennsylvania to raise a family before moving to the place of their dreams, Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1990.

Prior to retiring, she worked for St Lucie County in the office of the City Clerk and was a partner in J&J painting & paperhanging with her husband.

Janet loved taking care of her family, making crafts, playing card games, shopping, and always having a rescue dog by her side.

Survivors include her children, Joe Janssen Jr, Lisa Arriola (Mike), Suzanne Janssen (George), special dog Penny, brothers John Stewart (Marcella), Bill Stewart (Joan), and a wealth of loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Janssen Sr.

Celebration of her Life and a Scattering will be done privately by the family.
