Janet Lee Leist Brown passed away unexpectedly at her home in Hobe Sound on Sunday February 28th.

She gave generously of her heart, always. Janet considered nature her church. She deeply loved Hobe Sound Beach and tending her garden. Her Christmas packages, lovingly pulled together over the course of the year and mailed to friends and family across the country were legendary.

Janet's humor, affection and presence will be deeply missed by Don, their sons Austin and Jackson, daughter-in-law Gwen, her brothers and sisters of the Leist and Welch families and everyone she touched.

To remember Janet and appreciate the space she so fully and beautifully inhabited, there will be an informal gathering at her home and garden Saturday from 1 to 3pm.
