Janet passed on June 26, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Cecil Rough. Janet leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Rev. Lewis Urey and one daughter, Carolyn Gray (Phillip). Also, three grandchildren, Phillip II (Lora), Matthew and Carole; three great-grandchildren, Phillip III (Trey), Preston and Kathryn and three sisters, Mildred (Earl) Yarnell, Pauline (James) Brink and Freda (Lewis) Tenney.

Janet loved her husband dearly and became his helpmeet in ministry. She was known to have a servant's heart as she entertained guests, cooked meals for shut-ins and prayed with those who were hurting.

Janet's favorite song speaks to the testimony she lived, "My Jesus, I Love Thee." As a result of her devotion to her husband, Christ and the work of God, her family and others were forever touched by her example.

Janet loved music and learned to play the piano which was utilized in several of the churches where she and her husband served. On occasion, she even led the congregational singing.

Janet will remain an inspiration to all she knew as she was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed immeasurably.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida with a Chapel Service to begin at 11 AM.
