Jean Susan Ballou, 85 of Stuart passed away at her home Sunday, September 23, 2018.

Born on April 10, 1933 in Waltham, MA she was the daughter of Eugene Smith and Hazel Murray Smith.  Jean and her late husband Philip had wintered in Stuart for 45 years, moving permanently to the Treasure Coast seven years ago from Bedford, MA.

She was a homemaker and member of the Roman Catholic faith.

Jean enjoyed bike riding and would ride everyday, sometimes twice a day going ten miles in her journey.

Survivors include her children; Chris Ballou, Philip Ballou, Jean Ballou and Eleanor Dee; grandchildren, Philp Blaisdels and Ryan Dee; and great grandchildren, Chris Blaisdels and Brooke Blaisdels.

Her husband, Philip Ballou preceded her in death on September 12, 2015.
