Obituary

Jeffrey H. Corley passed away, surrounded by friends and family, at his home in Jensen Beach, FL, on August 3, 2018 at the age of 60. He was born in Stuart, Florida, the son of Harold and Shirley Corley. He graduated from Martin County High School in 1976.

For the last 16 years Jeff was employed at Helping People Succeed where he passionately gave back to the community by serving those with disabilities. Jeff's heart to serve others was also seen through his active service in Sertoma, whose mission is Hearing Health , where he became involved in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of the Treasure Coast, serving on their Board of Directors for over 20 years. Jeff further displayed his dedication to Martin County as a graduate of LEADERship Martin County, Class 11, as well as through his faithful and regular service at First United Methodist Church of Stuart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold, his daughter, Jessica and his nephew, Kyle. He is survived by his devoted wife Lucy, mother Shirley, brother Greg, his four step-children Penny Schmidt (John), Matt Landry (Amanda), Monica Lucas (JJ), and Melissa DeStefano (Michael), as well as his five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 11:00 at First United Methodist Church of Stuart.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in his honor to Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of the Treasure Coast - http://www.dhhstc.org .
