Joan Marie Miller's Obituary
Joan Marie Miller, of Jensen Beach, Florida, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Parkway Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stuart, Florida.
Born in Hillsboro, North Dakota, she had been a resident of Jensen Beach for seven years, coming from Richmond, Virginia.
Joan received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the Florida State University, and prior to her retirement she was employed by the American Heart Association in Richmond, where she served as a High Blood Pressure Counselor.
A fitness enthusiast all her life, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, and was an avid sailor.
Survivors include her son, Robert Miller, of Jensen Beach; three sisters, Julie Ness, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Barbara Beebe, of Friendship, Maine, and Devonne Crick, of Mountain View, California; and three brothers, Brad Engel, of Chanhassen, Minnesota, Dan Engel, of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, and Bryan Engel, of Mora, Minnesota.
Services and Interment will be held in late May, in Hillsboro, North Dakota.
Contributions as a Memorial may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997 or to the local Chapter of the American Heart Association, 2300 Centrepark West Drive, West Palm Beach, Florida 33409.
