Joan A. Romano, 83, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away suddenly Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce, Florida, two weeks after her beloved husband of 56 years, Gaetano "Tom" passed away at his home on February 25th.

Born in New York City, New York, they had been residents of Port Saint Lucie since 1996, coming from Long Island, New York.

Survivors her daughter, Cathy Goldenberg and her husband, Rod, of Boynton Beach, Florida; one granddaughter, Jennifer Kavouklis and her husband, Matthew, of Cooper City, Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Kellen.

She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Rosario and Santa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:00am at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Avenue, Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in West Palm Beach, Florida.
