John C. Brumberg, 70, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2026. John was born in Detroit, Michigan, and had been a resident of Florida for 45 years after moving from Michigan. Prior to retiring, he worked as an inspector/technician. Before retirement, John especially enjoyed spending time with his family and creating memories with those he loved. John was also a dedicated Detroit Lions fan, faithfully cheering on his hometown team and carrying his Detroit roots with him throughout his life. 

John is survived by his wife, Carla Brumberg; his two sons, Michael (Melissa) Mills and Erin Brumberg; his daughter, Stephanie Belyea; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister, Bernice Rosensteel; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Agnes Brumberg; his brother, Charles Brumberg; and his sister, Kay Schmitt. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at the Brumberg home. Arrangements are under the direction of Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory 950 SE Monterey Road Stuart, Florida 34994.
