Obituary

John Alexander Galdys of Stuart, Florida passed away after a brief illness on July 19, 2024. He was 76.

John was born on June 29, 1948 in Queens, NY to Alexander and Louise Galdys.  He attended Nazareth High School and graduated in 1966.  He began his career at ConEdison before he was drafted to the United State Army where he served from 1968 - 1970. He went on to work as a store manager for Kings Pharmacy before moving to Florida in 1974. There, he opened Jensen Meat Market and operated the store for over 20 years.

In 1970, John married his wife, Marie and together they had two sons, Philip (Susan) of Stuart, Florida and Michael (Lauren) of Palm City, Florida.

John had a passion for woodworking and was always engaged in a new project. He particularly cherished assisting his sons with their home projects.  His greatest love was spending time with family, especially with his grandchildren, Andrew and Mason Galdys and Madison Brennan.

John was a generous man who always had a kind word for anyone he met.  He was a person you could always count on and didn't hesitate to help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, sons, 3 grandchildren, his sister, Diane Vento and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, a brother, Philip, his brother-in-law, John Vento and nephew, John Vento.
