John F. Watson, 88, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Affectionately known as "Jack", he was born in New York City, New York, and had been a resident of Spanish Lakes in Port Saint Lucie since 1989, coming from Rialto, California.
Prior to his retirement, he was a Fireman with the City of New York for more than twenty-five years. After moving to Port Saint Lucie, he worked for Club Med and the City of Port Saint Lucie Golf Courses as a Starter for more than twenty years.
He was a Veteran, honorably serving his Country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy. Jack was a member of the Retired Fire Fighters of New York City.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Port Saint Lucie; son, John Watson, of Orlando, Florida; daughters, Jacqueline Watson of Newtown, Connecticut, Jessica Watson, also of Newtown, and Kelly Ann Watson, of Huntington, New York; Jack is also survived by Karen's son, Edward Melin and her daughters, Lisa, Kris, JoAnn, and Michelle Melin: and numerous grandchildren.
Services and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family from the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory of Stuart, Florida.
