John H. Moir, age 77 of White Lake, MI and Stuart, FL passed away on Friday, July 05, 2013 at the Manors at Hobe Sound. John was born January 13, 1936 in Falkirk, Scotland. John proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for General Motors for 40 years and spent his retirement between White Lake, MI and Stuart FL. John was a model train enthusiast and loved nature, animals and was a long time member of the White Heather Club. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret (Sheridan) Moir of White Lake, MI and Stuart, FL; son, John (Dawn) Moir; daughter, Anne Marie (Cherie) Moir, DVM; grandchildren, Ian, Chad, Chastity and Justin. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (11711 SE Federal Hwy; Hobe Sound, FL 33455) or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would also like to thank the great staff at Treasure Coast Hospice and the Manors at Hobe Sound for the caring and compassionate care they received.
