John P. ("Jack") McGuinness, 79, of Hobe Sound, Florida, entered into eternal rest after a long illness on Friday, July 13, 2018.  Jack was born in Massachusetts to the late John W. & Margaret(Guilfoyle) McGuinness.  He graduated from St. John's HS in Worcester, MA in 1957.  He later went on to graduate from Holy Cross College in Worcester - Class of '61, he earned a B.A in English and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Library Science at Simons College in Boston, MA.

Serving US Army, he met Gladys Cote.  Together they raised three daughters in Grafton, MA.  In 2001, he met his wife, Elizabeth J. Christie in Cape Cod and were married in 2004 in Falmouth, MA. and moved to Hobe Sound, Florida.

Most of his professional life, he worked in insurance in Auburn, Grafton, and Falmouth MA.  He loved his Golf, followed by throwing beach parties and DJ'ing on Cape Cod.  He had political passions and lived to make this world better in every way he possibly could. Jack is predeceased by his younger brother Jim McGuinness-MA, nephew Kevin Blomstrom-MD.

He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth J. Christie-Fl., three daughters, Jacqueline Bomar(Steve Bomar)SC, Shawn McGuinness MA, Tara McGuinness SC.  Four grandchildren Claire Ahlin-SC, Erica and Nicole Hudson-MA, Luke Bomar-SC. ; two brothers Paul McGuinness(Marsha McGuinness)-Fl,Robert McGuinness(Debbie McGuinness)-MA.; two sisters, Mary McGuinness-MA, Anne McGuinness- CT., Sister-in-law Sara Porter-MA., with numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

He and his humor will certainly be missed by his many friends and his many golf buddies at Lost Lake Golf & Country Club in Hobe Sound.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:30 AM, November 2, 2018 at Lost Lake Golf & Country Club in Hobe Sound, RSVP only.
