John J. Spies' Obituary
John J. Spies, 84, of Palm City, Florida, passed away, Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, Florida.
Born in Freeport, New York, he had been a long time local resident.
Survivors include four sons, David Williams and his wife, Patty of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Andrew Williams and his wife, Kelley of Mesquite, Texas, Raymond Williams and his wife, Kristie of Pace, Florida, and John Williams and his wife, Susan also of Pace; one daughter, Dena Bushman and her husband, Bob of Palm City; his son-in-law, Ron Barkley of Milton, Florida; thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Rita Jeanette Spies, who passed away in October of last year and a daughter, Mitzy Barkley.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service on Saturday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Pine Rest Cemetery, Cove Road at SE 45th Street, Port Salerno, Florida 34992.
The family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions as a memorial be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.
