John M. Walshe, 80, of the Cascades in Saint Lucie West, Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at his home.

Born in Galway, Ireland, he had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for two years coming from Montvale, New Jersey.

He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Prior to his retirement, John was Director of Sales for Instantwhip Foods in their Kearny, New Jersey location for ten years.

A parishioner of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie, John was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Montvale.

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Ruth M. Walshe of Port Saint Lucie; three sons, Sean M. Walshe and his wife, Josephine of Port Saint Lucie, Brian J. Walshe and his wife, Emily of Commack, New York, and Brendan D. Walshe and his wife, Patricia of Annapolis, Maryland; one sister, Mary Keaney of Ballinafad, Co Galway, Ireland; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Brigid, Liam, Julia, Kieran, Emmet, and Jack; and his faithful companion "Jack".

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, 350 NW California Boulevard, Port Saint Lucie.
