Jose (Pepe) Marrero, Jr., 87 of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
Born May 2, 1929 in Puerto Rico, formerly of Kissimmee, he has resided in Port St. Lucie for 14 years.
He was a retired letter carrier and had worked 30 years for the U. S. Postal Service.
Pepe served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
His hobbies included fishing and gardening. He did volunteer work in Kissimmee for the American Red Cross, distributing food to those in need and, as a Master Gardener for the Florida Department of Agriculture.
Loving husband of Alice E. Marrero (deceased). Beloved father of Jacqueline and father-in-law to her husband Jose Aspillaga. Proud grandfather of Nicholas J. Aspillaga. Survived by his sisters Gloria Figueroa and Ana Marrero; nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
Pepe was a member of Sunlight Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunlight Community Church in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Services and interment will be held at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Miami at a later date where he will forever be with his loving wife Alice.
