Joseph D. Florio, of Port. St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2021.  He was 82 years old.

Originally from the Bronx, New York, Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Florio; his son, Michael Florio and his wife, Matries; and two grandchildren, Alexandra and Lindsay, all who reside in Palm City, Florida.  Joseph also leaves behind his daughter Joanna Huffman and her husband,Brian of Tennessee.

Joseph was a proud member of the United States Navy, having served seven years in both active duty and in the reserves.  Prior to relocating to Port Saint Lucie, Joseph was a 22-year resident of Jensen Beach, Florida.

Joseph was actively involved with several environmental conversation groups in Martin County, and was committed to maintaining the quality of life issues important to him among others.  Joseph was a life long Catholic, and was a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres of Jensen Beach, and later with Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie.

Private funeral services including Full Military Honors will be for held for immediate family only at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, Florida.
