Obituary

Joe Paskoski Jr., 77, of Palm City, FL, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025 surrounded by family and love at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL, after struggling with leukemia.

Born in Providence, RI on January 20, 1948, he had been a resident of Palm City, FL for 26 years after living in Boynton Beach and Boca Raton for most of his married life. Prior to retiring, he founded and owned Florida Cypress and Fence Company in Boca Raton, FL for 35 years.

Joe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jemette Sarson Paskoski; his children Joe (Kristine) Paskoski III and Heidi (Stephen) Van Denburg; his beloved grandchildren Madeline Grace,Tanner Joeseph, Miles Joseph, and June Virginia; and his sister Sue (John) Alper. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Paskoski Sr. and Virginia McConnell Paskoski; and his brothers Steven (Jude) Paskoski and Greg Paskoski.

Joe was a larger than life son, brother, husband, dad and "Poppi" to four beautiful grandkids. A dear friend, cousin, mentor, leader and generous
spirit. Although our hearts ache, as we remember Joe, we also give thanks for his life here on Earth. He will carry this love and strength on his  next journey. Joe was a fortress for his family. He spent his working life in construction and the lumber business, but his heart was with his family and time spent in the outdoors. He set very high standards for himself and everyone around him and he would "occasionally" let you know if you were falling short of those standards. You likely knew of the sports or activities his family members participated in and how good they were at them, and you probably heard about it often. Depending on who you were, he may have let you know that he could have benefited from another "dose" of patience. He had his own way of showing his love for his family, but his love for them was simply undeniable. He was a fierce protector of his family and an immovable Oak. Joe was the complete woodsman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He may have occasionally referred to himself as the "buck master" or "tarpon master", and it would have been annoying if it wasn't so true. He harvested many white-tailed deer qualifying for entry in the Florida Big Buck Registry and his aluminum pot call was the bane of numerous Osceola Turkeys. He was a true "Steward of the Outdoors", and his woodsmanship was remarkable. He built and rebuilt cars and trucks, airboats, swamp buggies, airplanes and helicopters with his bare hands and was self-taught. He also built or fixed the equipment and machinery used in his business and hobbies.
There was literally nothing short of a computer that Joe could not fix or improve. Please Keep him in your hearts. Cherish your time spent with him and those memories. Joe touched each and every one of us in profound ways.
