Joseph Robert Romano Sr., age 81, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018.

He is survived by his former wife, Barbara, his present wife, Dolores, five children, Renee, Joe Jr., Dawn & Jim, Claudine, and Keith & Rachel, eight grandchildren, Tabitha, Jimmy, Nina, Jesse, Alie, Alex, Tyler and Catherine, and four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Angelo, Raigen and Rylan.

Joseph was born and raised in the Bronx, moved to Holbrook, New York in his thirties, then moved to Martin County, FL, where he lived for over forty years.

For the past eighteen years, Joe and Dee lived in the Monterey Yacht and Country Club.

He was fondly referred to as "Doc Joe" when he and many of his friends, aka, acquaintances, gathered around the pool every afternoon for their" therapy" sessions.

Joseph was a kind, generous and soft-hearted man, who tried so hard not to show it.  We all knew differently, especially his grandchildren.  He will be missed everyday by everyone who loved him.

There will be a celebration of Joseph's life at the Monterey Yacht Club, in Stuart, on Sunday, January 6, 2019, from 2:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m.
