Obituary

Josephine "Josie" Crickett (DiPalma) from New Durham, NH passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2018 surrounded by her family at Treasure Coast Hospice House, Stuart, FL.

Beloved wife of Jack Crickett for 64 years, she was the anchor and supportive loving mother of Jay Crickett, Janice and her husband Greg Hunter, Jayne and her husband James Hill and Julann Santos. She was a proud grandmother of Kristen, Matthew, Michael and Kenny who adored her loving, encouraging personality.

Josie was born and raised in Tewksbury, MA. After graduating from Tewksbury High School, she worked at GE and later assisted her husband in managing their professional accounting business.  Josie was the optimistic matriarch sharing her wisdom, intelligence and wit on a daily basis. She kept things simple and let her actions show what each one of us meant to her.

Josie enjoyed her flower gardens, road trips with Jack and swimming at Merrymeeting Lake with her family. In Florida, her reputation as a "champion" shuffleboard player was well known.  She also enjoyed bingo nights with her friends and adventures hunting for a good bargain. Josie's enthusiasm for helping others was a large part of her life.  She was always sharing her time by cooking for friends, sharing her favorite meals or offering a sympathetic ear. Her efforts were warmly appreciated by all. She was always busy doing something, her energy knew no bounds.  Josie's life was one of selfless devotion and love delivered with a contagious sense of humor and subtle advice.
