Joyce W. DeFrancesco (Miller) peacefully passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 82 in Stuart, Florida. She is survived by her three children, Deborah Halvorson-Bush (Jim), Richard DeFrancesco, Jr. (Joyce E.), and Michael DeFrancesco (Kim), four grandchildren Stephanie Faraci (Paul), Matthew Halvorson, Nicholas and Lindsy DeFrancesco, as well as two great-grandchildren, Ellissa and Anthony. Three siblings from England also survive her: Doris Baker, Derrick Miller, and Olive Covell.

Joyce was born in Eyke, England where she met Richard "Dick" DeFrancesco, Sr. - the man of her dreams—while he was stationed in the Air Force. They married on January 7, 1956 and returned to America to start what would become a beautiful family.

Joyce worked at Kline's Department Store and Laura's Boutique where she supported women in finding beauty and confidence through fashion. She also used her business acumen to support the family business Suburban Furniture Repair and Refinishing in Steger, IL.

Joyce and Dick loved to travel, returning to England several times. They retired to Florida in the early 2000s where they enjoyed their golden years in warmth and sunshine.  Richard Sr. passed away in November of 2016 and the family takes solace knowing they are reunited.

A Celebration of Life event will be held at a later date.
