Obituary

Peacefully, wrapped in the arms and love of her family, Kamden (Kammie) Rose Brownie, earned her angel wings on 10/9/2014 in her home in Stuart, Florida. Kamden was 7 years old.

Kamden is lovingly remembered by her dad and mom, Jed and Jackie Brownie, along with her big sister, Taylor Brownie. Also left to mourn are her grandparents, Kim and Jill Brownie of Jensen Beach, Florida and Patrick and Deborah Yancey of Palm City, Florida, as well as her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be missed by many extended family and friends.

Kamden was born August 30, 2007 in Stuart, Florida. She was a very happy little girl who loved her big sister. Throughout her short life, she fought many battles against Glycine Encephalopathy.

Kammie enjoyed watching the Disney Channel, listening to music, dressing up and best of all, being surrounded by people she loved. Her presence brought care and love to everyone that was blessed to meet her without ever saying a word. She taught us how every day is a gift and to
appreciate the simplest of moments in life.

We would like to thank her amazing care team from Treasure Coast Hospice for giving us the ability to care for Kamden in the comfort of her home surrounded each day by love. Thank you to Dr. Genon Wicina for her knowledge and care she brought to our family.

Thank you to her nurses, Linda Acker and Diane Felter, for their endearment of love for Kamden. Thank you to Moreen Burkart for the joy of music that she provided for her weekly. Thank you to Amy Manko (counselor and social worker) and Patrice Austin (pediatric program manager) for giving us the tools and gift of creating many wonderful memories together with our special angel.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, Contributions as a Memorial may be made in Kamden's memory to The Little Treasures Pediatric Hospice Program, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.

A Service to Celebrate Kammie's Life will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 3:30pm at the Palm City Presbyterian Church, 2700 SW Martin Highway, Palm City, Florida 34990 (772-286-9958).
