Karina Tellinger Martin, 52, of Stuart, Florida, died on May 7, 2016 in the company of her family after a courageous fight with cancer.

She is survived by her husband Russell T. Martin, her children Jessica Karam (Mac) of Lake Worth, Florida and Joey Leto of Deerfield Beach, Florida, her step children Regina M. Martin (Ryan) of Smithfield, Virginia and Spencer B. Martin of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and her grandchildren and step-grandchildren Adrianna Leto, Kaiya Leto, Leo Karam, and Evelyn and Victoria Watts.

She is also survived by her mother Monica T. Fisk of Hampton, Virginia, brothers Marc Tellinger of Chesapeake, Virginia and Michael Tellinger of Hampton, Virginia, as well as her sisters Lori Jarvis of Courtland, Virginia and Bridget Collins of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also surviving are her step-brothers
Kevin Fisk of East Smithfield, Pennsylvania and Randall Fisk of Waverly, New York and step-sisters Nikki Wasielewski of Barton, New York and Kimberly Kinsley of Sayre, Pennsylvania, and Connie Sandroni of Waverly, New York.

Karina was preceded in death by her father, Andrew J. Tellinger and step-father, Mel Fisk.

Karina lived a life filled with love and compassion. She was active as a massage therapist and wellness instructor, and enjoyed working with hospice and the Eleventh Hour Program. Karina loved the outdoors and physical activities, and was at her best while biking, kayaking, running and swimming. She was devoted to her children, and spent many happy hours watching them excel at soccer.

Most of all Karina was known for her larger than life personality, and for helping those who were close to her realize the full potential of their lives. She filled her own life with passion, and a love for God. She lived by the motto Carpe Diem and made the most of a life that ended far too soon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at the Peace Presbyterian Church, 4881 SE Cove Road, Stuart, Florida 34997

In lieu of flowers, contributions as a memorial may be made to the Peace Presbyterian Church at the above address or to the Treasure Coast YMCA, 1700 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida 34994.
