Katherine (Kay) Elinor D'Annunzio, 85, of Port St Lucie, Florida, passed away on February 17,2021at Violet Gardens Assisted Living, Port St Lucie.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Charles Swanner and Mary Swanner (Simms) she was educated at St Paul Catholic, Baltimore, MD
She married Joseph D'Annunzio on June 18, 1954. Kay and Joe started their family in the Woodlawn section of Baltimore and moved to Severna Park in 1962 to raise their 4 children whom attended St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and attended Severna Park schools. After Joes passing in 1976, Kay finished raising the 4 children with the help of her family and friends. Kay went on to relocate to Florida and spent the last 30 years or so in the Sunshine State.
Before retiring she had worked for Pantry Pride, Novotny and Sons, State Farm Insurance and B.P.O Elks. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and dancing. She had been a member of the Moose Lodge, the Elks Lodge and the American Legion.
She leaves her children Donna Davidson with Husband Tommy, Michael D'Annunzio, Sharon Upton with husband Russell and Mark D'Annunzio; her 7 grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Brian, Joseph, Jessica with husband Michael, Justin with his wife Sierra and Ryan with his wife Giovanna; her 6 great grandchildren, Brianna, Johnny, Sophia, Kayla, Angela and Leah and a brother William Swanner.
Preceded in death by her husband Joseph D'Annunzio; her sisters Evelyn Swanner and Helen Sevec and her brother Robert Swanner.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, Stuart. There is an online registry at: www.treasurecoastseawinds.com .
