Kathleen Veronica Hammerbacher, 94, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away on January 6, 2019 at Jensen Dunes, Jensen Beach.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the youngest of four children of Henry H. Wheeler and Katherine Hayes Wheeler. She had been a resident of Jensen Beach, coming from Punta Gorda, Florida.

Prior to retiring, she was a nurse.

She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Jensen Beach.

Survivors include her loving children, Ellen Glennon (Kenneth), John A. Hammerbacher, III (Marilyn), Eileen Lyon (Barry), Nancy Babcock (Bert Rogers), Mark F. Hammerbacher (Cindy), Mary Nadalin, Kathleen Underwood (Terry), Susan Mazzarella (John); 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hammerbacher, her siblings, Virginia Becker, Leonard Wheeler and Jack Wheeler and son-in-law, Michael Nadalin,

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at Martin de Porres Catholic Church on Friday, January 10, 2020. Burial will be at a later date at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth
