Obituary

Kevin Joseph Lenaghan, 68, of Stuart, FL passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.
Born April 25, 1947 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Irish immigrants, Daniel Joseph and Catherine Black Lenaghan. He was proud to hold dual citizenship in the United States and Ireland. He moved to Stuart in November 2010, coming from Durham, NC.
Kevin was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; and two Air Medals. He attended the Defense Language Institute Monterey and Petty Officer Leadership School during his enlistment.
He was a member at large of the VFW in Florida.
Kevin was knowledgeable about numerous types of birds and volunteered for parrot rescue while living in North Carolina.
Kevin also enjoyed photography as a hobby.
Survivors include his beloved daughters, Jennifer Gullett of Bozeman, MT and Suzanne Powell of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Gerald Lenaghan of Jensen Beach, FL and Terence Lenaghan of Gilroy, CA; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" O'Connor of Jensen Beach; and four cherished grandchildren, Hallie and Mira Gullett, Alex and Oren Powell.
Private Services were held for the family. He will be interred at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth at a later date
