Kevin "Jerry, Shorts" Hoag, 72 of Stuart, Florida passed away December 29, 2018 at home.
Born August 23, 1946 in Providence, RI he has lived in Florida for 34 years, 22 years on Hutchinson Island.
Kevin was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the 101st Airborne. He received two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart; he retired as a Captain.
Kevin graduated from URI with a Master's Degree. He retired as a Corporate Vice President and was also a CPA.
Kevin was Quarter Master for VFW Post 4194; a tax aid volunteer with AARP and member of Stuart Coffee Club.
One of his greatest joys was playing with his grandkids, riding his Harley, playing poker and watching his beloved Patriots win the Super Bowl AGAIN..
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Marie (Gilloolly) Hoag; Father to Kevin Shane Hoag (Kerry), Bridget Mary Hoag, Erin Sarese Smith (Doug).
Pop Pop to Scarlet Brooks, Kellen and Keegan Hoag, Eli and Railey Smith.
Brother to: William, Matthew, Patricia and Dennis Hoag.
Mass will be 10 AM, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 4194 or Council on Aging of Martin County for Meals On Wheels
