Kim Gilbert, age 64, of Stuart, FL passed away on August 6, 2019 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, FL, after she lost her battle with breast cancer. She was born April 12, 1955 in Bennington, VT to Stuart and Muriel Gilbert.

She worked as a branch manager in Manchester, VT, eventually making her way to south FL to continue her career in the banking business in 2002. She displayed a wonderful knack for problem solving and customer relations. Kim loved to be around people and truly lived life to the fullest by the simple pleasures; chatting with family and friends, spending time with her family and her online group organizations that helped her through the toughest of times in her life. Kim always had a positive attitude towards life and made sure to share her journey with all that would listen.

She is survived by her mother (Muriel Baber), her sister (Patti Hughes), her daughter (Trish Newell) and her two grandchildren (Hayden and Reese Newell). Family, friends, and others, whose lives Kim touched are invited to the Newell residence, 143 Village Circle, Jupiter, FL, 33458, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019, to reminisce, grieve and share a memory. A celebration of her life will be held in Peru, Vermont in late September. Details to follow.

Kim was an active member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Cancer Society.
