Obituary

Kimberly Beth Baker, age 51 of Palm City Fl, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24th, 2017. Kim was born in Fort Lauderdale to the late Jim and Judy Shaw on October 23rd, 1965. She was a loving daughter and sister to Christy and Jimmy and they shared many fun times growing up together.

Kim was a passionate gymnast and cheerleader when she was younger. She enjoyed spending time with her grandparents, Mama Lu and Papa Jack and was nicknamed "Minnie" by her grandmother. Kim attended Boyd Anderson High school where she made life long memories and friends before attending Broward Community College. Kim graduated in Business and worked as a personal assistant in the family business's, Shaw Trucking and Bobs Fresh Lemonade.

In 1991 Kim married the love of her life Rob Baker and moved to Coconut Creek. Kim was a devoted wife to Rob and loving mother to their three daughters, Jaimee, Kailee, and Lexee. Kim loved being with her family and friends whether it be in the mountains, at the beach or just at home.

Kim was an inspiring mother and selfless human being who would bring a smile to anyone's face. She had a special gift of listening to others and making you feel like you were the only one in the room. She truly gave you her one on one.

Kim's girls were the joy of her life. Over the years she enjoyed watching and encouraging them to play soccer, cheerleading, football and basketball. They loved singing and dancing all together. Life was so busy and full of activities with the girls and when they needed her most she was always there for them. Just hearing her voice and talking to her was so calming. Kim cherished this time and always looked back on it fondly.

She was an amazing mother and best friend to have. Kim's hobbies included spending time with her family and friends either at home, on the beach or vacationing in the mountains.

In 2001, Kim was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, which she survived with amazing strength. Fourteen years later she was diagnosed with Brain cancer. In between these dark times, a beautiful gift was received. On January 25th, 2005 Lexee Baker was born who continues to exude all the qualities of her mom.

Kim is survived by her loving husband Rob of 25 years and her beloved daughters Jaimee, Kailee and Lexee. Also her sister Christy and her husband Johnny and family and her brother Jimmy.
