Lawrence E. Koob
age 84 of Stuart, FL, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. Born in the Bronx, NY, he had been a resident of Stuart for ten years, coming from Orlando, FL. Prior to retirement, he was a truck driver for Long Island Delivery Service in New York. He also worked for the FEC News in Orlando, FL. he was a member of St. Andrews Catholic church in Stuart. He was a Scoutmaster for 25 years in Orlando, FL and a skilled craftsman. He loved working on the neighborhood children's bicycles and called his garage "Larry's Bicycle Service". Some of his most memorable moments of his life were building race cars and taking them to Gator National with his son, Michael.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathleen Koob of Stuart to whom he was married sixty three years; one daughter, Deborah Curington of Stuart; two grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Eichenlaub; three great grandchildren, Autumn, Jacob and Rhya. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Koob in 2001.
The family suggest memorials to the Boy Scouts of American, 8335 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
