Obituary

Heaven gained a new resident on Wednesday, May 11th, as (Lillian) Pearl (Ljunggren) Peterson received her ultimate healing, and was reunited with her mother and father, Lillian and Sven Ljunggren, and her sister, Ingrid Knasel.

Pearl was born in Storm Lake Iowa, on April 16th, 1935. Her family moved to Chicago where she grew up, and met the love of her life John Pete' Peterson. She attended Augustana College, and De Lourdes College, where she received her degree. Married in September of 1956, they were blessed with five children. Dave Peterson, Kim Talaber, (Bill Talaber), Mark Peterson, Laura Mueller, (Peter Mueller), and Randy Peterson, (Anne Peterson). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two loving brothers, Sven, and Karl Ljunggren, and a whole host of loving relatives.

It was the simple things around her in life that she never took for granted, commenting daily how fortunate and thankful she was. Pearl loved to spend time with family and friends and often was the one planning those get togethers. Above all, she was absolutely devoted to her husband and children. She was a mother who always involved herself in every detail of her children's lives and supported, respected, and loved her husband unconditionally. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing.
