Linda Ann Petroff, 65, of Stuart, Florida, died September 4, 2014, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.

Born in Buffalo, New York, she had been a resident of Stuart for eight years, coming from her birthplace.

Prior to her retirement, Linda served for 37 years at the Erie County Department of Social Services, in Buffalo.

She was a gentle and loving person to everyone that came across her path, and will be missed by many.

Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Petroff; her brother James Armstrong, II, and many loved nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lois Armstrong, former residents of Stuart, brother, Patrick Armstrong, and her former husband, Michael Petroff.
