Lorraine Helen Kert, 74, passed away on January 9 ^th , 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Martin South Hospital in Stuart, Fl., of cancer.

Through it all, Lorraine never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined, strong, and brave. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

She was born and raised in Passaic, NJ. She attended Westbrook College in Portland, Maine where she graduated with a degree in fashion design. After graduating she worked in New York City as a buyer for a department store.

Lorraine moved to Margate, Fl in 1974 and later to Martin County, Fl in 1982 where she has called home ever since. She co-founded Advantage Property Management in 1990 where she devoted herself to a long, successful career until her retirement. She was well respected and admired by all knew and worked with her. You could always find a board member stopping by her office to say hello because of the long relationships she built in the many communities she oversaw.

Lorraine was a devoted and loving wife to her husband Roger, mother to her daughter Lisa, and proud grandmother (Mimi) to Tyler and Kyle. She will always be remembered as the true heart of her family who kept everyone centered. Lorraine was a kind and giving person who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Her infectious smile could light up a room. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to her. She enjoyed bowling, word searches, dining out, trips to Vegas, the beach, coin collecting, playing computer games, taking pictures, cooking, and was an avid book reader.

Mrs. Kert is survived by her husband Roger Kert of Stuart, daughter Lisa Grimes of Palm City, Tyler Grimes of Ashville, North Carolina, Kyle Grimes of Palm City, and brother John Oggenfuss of S. Dartmouth, MA. She was preceded in death by her father John Oggenfuss and mother Augustina Oggenfuss. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she knew.
