Louis Caldarola, age 78 of Stuart, FL passed away at home on Friday, May 31, 2013 after battling an illness since February. Louis was born April 14, 1935 in Puglia, Italy, son of the late Rocco and Maria (Catalano) Caldarola. As a child the family moved to White Plains, NY and he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. After retiring from the United States Postal Service as a Post Master, Louis moved to Stuart, FL. He was a member of the Elks and a life member of the VFW and Moose Lodge. Surviving are his loving wife, Ellen Caldarola of Stuart, FL; son, Louis A. Caldarola of Brewster, NY; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Patricia A. Caldarola. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and no public services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300; Jacksonville FL, 32256).
