Lucia Elizabeth Podbielski, 88, of Stuart, Florida, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at Martin Memorial Hospital North, in Stuart.
Born in New London, Connecticut, she had been a resident of Stuart, for seventeen years, coming from her birthplace.
Prior to her retirement, she was an Office Administrator for the Department of the Navy in New London.
An avid Bridge Player, she loved to travel, and loved cooking for all to enjoy.
Survivors include her longtime friend, Russell Supersano, of Stuart; three daughters, Christine LaVoie, of Hartford, Connecticut, Carla Markley, and her husband, Charles, of York, Pennsylvania, and Catherine May, and her husband, Michael, of Delray Beach, Florida; four beautiful grandchildren, Ginny McParland, and her husband, Nick, of Madison, Connecticut, Ben Swain, and his wife Amanda, of Middletown, Connecticut, Chris Sharpe, of York, and Sara Keefer, and her husband, Cochise, also of York; and six great-grandchildren, Liam, Jameson, Camryn, William, Violet, and Jaxon.
A Service to Celebrate Her Life will be announced at a later date from the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory of Stuart.
