Lucille G. Bertoncini, 83, of Palm City Florida, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2017 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart Florida, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Born December 13, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony and Lucy Terrone. She graduated  from St. Athanasius Catholic School in 1950.

Lucille met Louis the love of her life while visiting her Aunt Ceil and Uncle Tony on Long Island the summer after she graduated High School.  It was love at first sight. They married June 27, 1953 and moved out to Long Island where they began their journey and raised their family of six children. Family and friends were very important to them and they enjoyed spending time together. Louis and Lucille were residents of Lindenhurst, New York for 45 years. After retiring they moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 1997.  Louis passed away December 6, 2007 and Lucille moved in with Daughter, Karen and Son-in-law, James where she lived for the past ten years in Palm City.

Lucille a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Louis.

Lucille is survived by her daughter Karen McGinn Elmore (James) of Palm City, Mary Lou Layeni of Lake Mary, Florida, Louis Bertoncini of West Islip, New York, Maria Dolginko (Ronald) of North Babylon, New York, Robert Bertoncini (Susan) of Seaford, New York and Steven Bertoncini of West Islip, New York; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by two sisters, Josephine Ragone of Farmingville, New York, Louise Gisonda of Massapequa, NY; and sister-in-law, Flo Terrone of Spring Hill, Florida.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00am in the Chapel of  the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart.
