Lynn Marie Carlsen, age 76, passed away on December 23, 2021 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Lynn Marie lived in Baldwin, NY, before moving to Palm City Florida in 1974. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and was an amazing artist in any media.  She was proud of her Norwegian heritage and spoke the language fluently.  She enjoyed gardening and was a past member of the Stuart Garden Club. Lynn Marie loved to travel but was always incredibly glad to live in Florida and proud to be an American.  Her greatest passion was her family.  The devotion between her and her (predeceased) husband was a beautiful picture of a healthy marriage.  She doted on her children and rejoiced in her biggest accomplishment of being Mamma to her three children.  As an "ordained mother", she lovingly serving her children by making their clothes, serving healthy meals, organizing and photographing fun family events and was always there to support them.  She also shared her tremendous love for others outside the family as well and poured her whole heart into her many roles which included being a children's Sunday School teacher, a den mother for her boy scout pack, creating sets for a church play, as teacher's aide at numerous schools and caring for the babies in the nursery during church.  Wherever she was, Lynn Marie gave out compliments like candy.  No matter how hard she battled numerous diseases, everyone who met her was instantly encouraged by her kind words, her authentic love and always cheerful disposition.

Lynn Marie Carlsen is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Helen Nicholson and her husband, Richard Norman Carlsen.  She is survived by her children, Anne Marie of Stuart, FL, Karen Lynn Chapman and her husband, Tony Chapman of Stuart, Florida and Carl Kristian Carlsen and his wife, Elika Carlsen of Bertram, Texas. Grandchildren include Sarah Anne Peterson and her husband, Billy Peterson, of Lake Worth; Emily Elizabeth Trense of Atlanta, GA; R. Victor Trense III of Stuart; Karissa Julien and her husband, Jay Julien of Stuart; Kyah Carlsen of Bertram, Texas and Teagan Carlsen of Austin, Texas.

Lynn Marie is greatly missed, but she loved God and we are glad that she is in His presence and is no longer plagued by Alzheimer's disease or cancer. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m on January 30, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Jensen Beach and attendees are asked to wear red in honor of her favorite color.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice at Treasure Health, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997, or at 772/403-4500 or on line at  www.treasurehealth.org
