Marcia A. Minder , of Palm City , FL, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025. She was 99 year old.

Born in Albany, New York, she spend her childhood growing up in the "Mountain View Hotel" in Minerva, New York , that was owner and operated by her parents, William and Olive ( Spawn) Calkins. Marcia graduated from North Creek High School in 1943 and attended Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont. In 1948, she earned her nursing degree from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New Your City. In 1952 Marcia  and her husband George and their young son moved to South Florida where she worked many years as a Registered Nurse at Hialeah Hospital. In 1995 family moved to Whispering Sound in Palm City.

After retirement she and her husband traveled all over the US and Canada by RV.

Marcia was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years George A. Minder. She is survived by sons Bill Minder of Palm City and Gary Minder (Karen Minder) of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and daughter Jane Minder (Ginger Moore-Minder) of Lexington, Kentucky. She was blessed with loving grandchildren, Chad Minder (Michele Minder) of Palm Coast, Florida, Theresa Hicks (Terry Hicks) of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Kristin Stuard (Nathan Stuard) of Mt Juliet, Tennessee, Abby Pledger of Alpharetta, Georgia, Carly Minder of Stockholm, Sweden, Russell Moore (Ashley Moore) of Lexington, Kentucky and great granddaughters Kaitlyn Minder, Grace Hicks, Faith Hicks, and Audrey Stuard, and several nieces and nephews.

No local services are planned. Burial will be in September , 2O25 in Lake Luzerne, New York.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice in Marcia's memory.
