Margaret "Peggy" Mary Barton, 68 of Stuart passed away August 21, 2017 at her home.

She was born May 20, 1949 in Haverstraw, NY and grew up in Bayport; she moved to Stuart 25 years ago from Farmingville, NY.

Peggy had worked for Grumman for 25 years and also owned Barton Freight and Charter on Long Island. In Florida she was an independent insurance agent.

She was a spiritual woman and savored life. Peggy had traveled to Egypt and was able to enter a pyramid. She had enjoyed golfing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Madeline Pook and brother, James Thomas Pook.

Peggy is survived by her brother, Richard B. Pook and his family.
