Margaret Montgomery Egbert, 87, of Stuart, Florida, died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.
Born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, she had been a resident of Stuart for twenty-three years, coming from Bay Shore, New York.
Prior to her retirement, she was the Treasurer for the Islip School District, in Islip, New York for more then twenty-five years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bay Shore.
Survivors include her beloved husband, of forty years, George K. Egbert, of Stuart; one son, Andrew Young, and his wife, Chris, of Manlius, New York; one daughter, Margaret Clark, of Eagle, Idaho; one brother, James Montgomery, of Kilmarnock, Scotland; and nine grandchildren, Jessica Bruneau, Andrew W. Young, Lottie Caiella, Kyle Egbert, Natalie Egbert, Duncan Archer, Andy Clark, Andrew Young, and Joseph Young.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 2:00 pm in the Garden Chapel of the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida 34994, where the family will receive friends after 1:00 pm.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
