MargaritaVelázquez went to be with Jesus on April 16th, 2019. She passed away at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL after a long illness. Born in Havana, Cuba, Margarita immigrated to the United States in 1957. She spent 28 years in Key West, FL where she raised a family. She and her husband retired to Hobe Sound where they had a very active role in the start of the Hispanic church, Iglesia de Santidad Monte Horeb. Margarita loved spending time in her kitchen and with her family. In her younger years her passion was helping others, albeit quietly and behind the scenes.
Margarita was preceded in death by her husband, Jose, and is survived by her children Carlos Velázquez (Monica) of Belton, MO and Esther Morgan (David) of Stuart, FL; her brother Pedro Cabrera (Sara) of Miami, FL, her sister Rosalina Alonso of Key West, FL and three grandchildren: Matthew, Marianne and Melinda as well as many nieces and nephews and two lovely great-grandsons.
Visitation is from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Wednesday, April 17th, at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, 950 SE Monterey Rd, Stuart, FL 34994.

Service will be held Thursday, April 18th at 1:00 PM, with visitation beginning at noon, also at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home. Interment will immediately following  at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, 1501 S. Kanner Hwy, Stuart FL
