Obituary

After a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease, Marilyn Madden Morgan passed away peacefully on January 18, 2019 at Stuart Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Stuart, Florida with family by her side.

Marilyn was born on July 25, 1933 in Millinocket, Maine to Gladys and Charles Madden.  She was a graduate of George W. Stearns High School in Millinocket and LaSalle Jr. College, Auburndale, MA and the University of Maine, Orono, ME with a BS Degree in Elementary Education.

She started her teaching career in her hometown where she met her husband who was starting his career with the Federal Government.  As a result of his employment, they started their nomadic life-style which took them to many stateside assignments, as well as Alaska, where she continued her teaching career. Her overseas teaching experiences included ones in Germany and Korea.  After leaving Korea, she retired from teaching and moved to Florida with husband and family.

She was a person of faith, integrity and love of family. For those who knew her, she will be remembered as an extremely kind and overly generous person.  In addition, she had a very positive attitude and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

She was predeceased by her parents, brothers William Madden and wife Theresa and Richard Madden and wife Verna.  She is survived by her loving husband Robert of Jensen Beach, Florida; daughter Bambi of Portland, Maine and daughter Tanya of Port St. Lucie, Florida; sister-in-laws Lucy Morgan, Lehigh Acres, Fl and Eva Morgan, Bridgeville, PA. as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of her life at a later date in her home state of Maine.
