Kuyers
April 29, 1934 – December 31, 2020
Marjorie Anne Kuyers, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 31, 2020. She was born April 29, 1934 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Clarence and Anne Koen.
Marge graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 1952. Soon after graduation she married Gene, the first and only love of her life, and they celebrated 67 years together on July 23, 2020.
Marge is best remembered for her unwavering love and trust in God and His Word, devotion and tireless support to her husband and family, and selfless service to all. Her quiet gifts of hospitality, helps, prayer, and organization were used extensively through her church, neighborhood, and Family Life a ministry of Cru. Other interests included reading, sewing, tennis, traveling, boating, gardening, and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death twelve weeks ago by her husband Gene Kuyers. Surviving are her sisters, Joyce Vander Klok (Andy) and Lin Wallander (Tom), daughter Debbie (Mark) McGoldrick, son Dan (Nanci) Kuyers; grandchildren, Melissa, Matt, Ashley, Karlee, Graham, Kelsey, and Morgan; great grandchildren, Maddox, Joshua, Hazel, Levi, Rowan, and Elijah.
A celebration of life service will be held January 5, 2021 at 11:00am at Nettles Island Church, Jensen Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to go to NBS2GO (Neighbor Bible Studies 2GO), a ministry of Cru which her daughter founded. (give.cru.org/2872645).
