Marjorie Jones Stewart, 95, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie since 2001, coming from Colwyn, Pennsylvania. She was a resident of Horizon Bay Assisted Living in Port Saint Lucie for the last two years.

Marjorie worked for Drexel University in the school's bookstore retiring in 1985. She loved to worship at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 58th & Chester Avene in Southwest Philadelphia and even served as a deacon for several years. She was an active member of senior citizen centers in both Philadelphia and Port Saint Lucie.

She also loved to spend time with her family playing cards or enjoying a nice cup of tea. She was very proud of her extensive elephant collection.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Janssen; sons, John and his wife, Marcella, and Bill and his wife, Joan; grandsons, Joe, John, and Dan; granddaughters, Lisa, Suzanne, Erin, Starla, and Jenny; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Joseph Stewart; brothers, Leon, William, and Charles; sisters, Marion, Della and Elizabeth; and son-in law, Joe Janssen.

Celebration of her Life will be held at a future date in her beloved city of Philadelphia.
