Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Fuller Alley, 86, of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away peacefully at Trust Bridge Hospice in Jupiter, FL, on January 21, 2025.

Mary was born on December 20, 1938, in Putney, WV, to Harold Leroy Fuller and Mary Grace Meredith Fuller. She was the eldest of four siblings: Naomi, David, and Lois.

Mary graduated from God's Bible School in Cincinnati, OH, where she met the love of her life, James Alley. They married on June 20, 1959, and shared a devoted union spanning sixty-five years. Together, they raised three children: James, Deborah, and Vivian.

A faithful pastor's wife for many years, Mary dedicated herself to supporting her husband's ministry and serving her community. While living in Lima, OH, she played a key role in founding a Women of Worth chapter. Professionally, Mary worked for over twenty-five years as a made-to-measure drapery consultant at JC Penney, where she took pride in helping others.

Mary found joy in visiting with family and friends, reading, and playing games. Her deep faith in Jesus was a cornerstone of her life and brought her peace as she prepared to meet Him.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Alley; her children: James (Peggy) Alley of Utica, NY; Deborah (John) Cutler of Montgomery, AL; and Vivian (Don) McLean of Lake Placid, NY; six grandchildren: James (Misty) Alley, Joseph Alley, Amber (Abraham) Shields, Courtney (Ryan) Moore, Brock (Anne) McLean, and Heather (Thomas) Pulsifer; twelve great­ grandchildren: Autumn Alley, Dalton Alley, Blake Alley, Cameron Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Autumn Moore, Madison Pulsifer, Paul Moore, Matthew Pulsifer, Lucy Moore, Luke Moore, Julianna Shields; three great­ great-grandchildren: Kyson Smith, Grayson Smith, and Anna Marie Smith; and her siblings: Naomi Branch of Centralia, MO; David (Frances) Fuller of Hobe Sound, FL; and Lois (Ken) Finley of Baxter Springs, KS. She was predeceased by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at Hobe Sound Bible Church on February 4 at 1 p.m.

Mary's unwavering faith and love for others will remain an enduring inspiration to all who knew her.
