Mary Lou A Wahosky Kennedy passed away on September 15, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born December 20, 1930 in New Jersey and moved to Florida with her family in 1969, settling first in Jupiter and then Stuart.

Prior to retirement, she was an administrative assistant, working primarily in the construction field.

The mother of six children, she enjoyed life most when amongst her family and friends.

The kitchen being her favorite room in the house and her love of cooking brought many to her table to share "Mom's" homemade old-fashion recipes.

Earlier in life, Mary Lou shared her love of music by playing her most prized possession, the piano. She also enjoyed traveling to different domestic and foreign destinations with her husband "Walt". Ever determined, when aging interfered with those pleasures she turned her attention to orchids and other plants that thrived under her green thumb.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband and father of her children, Anthony F Wahosky, her second husband, Walter C Kennedy, and son Joel A Wahosky.

Survivors include her daughters, Pamela VanEtten of Stuart, Mary Jo Box of Stuart, and Karen Dunham of Illinois, sons, Kevin Wahosky of Jupiter, and Anthony Wahosky of Hobe Sound, grandchildren, Tiffany DeStefanis, Adam VanEtten, Kyle Wahosky, Joshua Wahosky, April Murphy, Jennifer Box, Jonathan Dunham & Stephen Dunham, and 9 great-grandchildren.

A mass to celebrate Mary Lou's life will be at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Hobe Sound, FL, at 10:00 a.m. on Sat., 9-24-16, followed by inurnment at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, Stuart, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be directed to her favorite charity, The National Shrine of St. Jude, 205 W. Monroe St, Chicago, IL 60606.
